The Series is projected to the middle / upper level performance market although being at entry Level pricing. 5 big performing models.
Wide dispersion Model EHT-4
A dedicated ceiling speaker, speakers are angled at 40 degrees to ceiling therefore throwing sound up the room instead of simply "showering" down like conventional ceiling speakers. This creates a greater "sweet-spot" within the room
(see brochure diagram).
Installation is a breeze.
Use a stud finder to be certain stud/beam/electrical wiring is not behind your plaster wall where fitting is intended. Then cut out your hole using the template supplied. Remove the metal grille from speaker and connect speaker lead to rear gold terminals. Be ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN to connect speaker lead to speaker using correct polarity ie. POSITIVE of lead to RED speaker terminal and NEGATIVE of lead to BLACK terminal. Before fitting speaker into hole, use a Phillips head screw driver to loosen all 4 or 6 (depending on model) “plaster-grab” arms. Tuck excess speaker lead into wall/ceiling cavity so lead cannot loop and touch rear of cone and carefully guide speaker into wall/ceiling plaster hole. Use level to be sure speaker is straight and then from front of speaker using a Phillips screw driver, carefully tighten all “plaster-grab” arms until semi-firm. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. By tightening these screws the grab arms will internally turn 45 degrees and lock against rear of plaster board to firmly secure speaker to plaster wall. Adjust eyeball tweeter and acoustic tuning (as per below), fit grille to speaker and crank !.
Removing metal Grilles.
Looking from rear of speaker, loosen all 4 or 6 Wall clamps by rotating them anti-clockwise. Then gently push the Wall clamp forwards (away from you) towards the metal grille and apply a little pressure against rear of metal grille. Continue this process to the other Wall clamps until metal grille springs away from Speaker fascia.
Eyeball Tweeters
Our 28mm silk Dome tweeters are the biggest in the business (most other brands are 15mm, 19mm or 25mm) ensuring clean and accurate high frequencies. All EHT models have adjustable "eyeball" tweeters so the important High Frequencies can be directed towards target areas such as your armchair or lounge.
Acoustic Tuning
Most JENSEN EHT models have twin "set and forget" switches that adjust speaker performance to suit different room acoustics. Foyers, hallways, washrooms and rooms with hard floor surfaces and glass areas all have bright, reflective acoustics requiring a different setting to carpeted areas such as Lounge rooms, bedrooms, offices and more intimate areas. Each speaker can be set independently by a simple flick of the switch. Our Acoustic engineers are happy to help in your planning stages.
Tweeter protection
All models have inbuilt tweeter protection to prevent power surges, power spikes, voice sibilance and accidental overpowering which may hinder or reduce the life of your JENSEN speakers.
Rodent Protection
Speaker frames and baskets are semi-enclosed to prevent rodents from damaging rear of speaker cone.
